While traveling in Japan I had many opportunities to view beautiful gardens and ponds. This design however is indirectly inspired by Japan via the Hawaiian Islands. I have been to Hawaii over a dozen times (and counting) and always love watching the vibrant koi fish swimming in the ponds at hotels, shopping malls and gardens. Hawaii is one of my favorite places to visit, and it's elegant Japanese influence is everywhere.

Japanese Elegance: Koi Pond uses batiks from my 2021 Return to the Wild Signature Batik Collection with Hoffman California Fabrics. This pattern can be made as a wallhanging or tablerunner. See all my Return to the Wild batiks here.
