Sea otters are a favorite sighting for many visitors to Alaska. They are playful and adorable little critters, usually seen floating around on their backs having a snack, taking a quick nap among the seaweed, or just watching boats go by. It seems like their favorite thing to do is wait until you get close enough to take a recognizable photo, then quickly dive just as you take a shot - at least this is what usually happens to me.
