We have many wolves in Alaska, but they are quite elusive if you live in a city, and one of the few animals that I've never spotted in the wild. The packs I've seen have been at the Anchorage Zoo or the Alaska Conservation Center in Portage, and after seeing them eyeing me from behind the fence I'm glad to have only seen them from a safe distance.
