Lupine fields blossom on the highway shoulders and open fields each June in Southcentral Alaska. The lavendar blue bushes are one of my favorite sights of the summer, and stay in blossom until early Fall. This pattern has also found a lot of Texas fans as the lupine closely resembles a blue bonnet - the Texas State Flower.
